Manning, SC— July 2, 2024 The Clarendon County School District (CCSD) is proud to announce that its Law Enforcement Program at the F.E. DuBose Career Center has been selected as one of the top Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs in South Carolina. This recognition highlights CCSD's commitment to providing students with exceptional educational opportunities and real-world experiences.

"Partnerships with local law enforcement agencies and hands-on learning experiences are crucial for our students,” stated Mrs. Ladell Grice, Law Enforcement Instructor. These collaborations help prepare them for successful careers in law enforcement and related fields."

"As a district, it is vital that our students are college and career ready. Labor market analyses show that we are offering pathways with the most need in our state and we look at those carefully when choosing our Career and Technical Education courses,” stated Dr. Shawn Johnson, CCSD Superintendent. We want our parents, community stakeholders, and statewide districts to know about our commitment to engaging students in real-life project-based and work-based experiences, especially at the F.E. DuBose Career Center."

“Being recognized as a top CTE program is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our students and staff. Our focus on providing hands-on, real-world experiences through partnerships and industry connections equips our students with the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in their future careers," stated Dr. Keisa Carr, F.E. DuBose Interim Director. “My administrative staff and I are committed to providing our students with the most current and innovative resources and tools available in the field to ensure their success.”

The South Carolina Department of Education's CTE program played a significant role in planning and filming a marketing video to showcase the program.
