CCSO Press Release on shooting death at Quality Inn

On July 2nd, Clarendon County Deputies responded to the Quality
Inn on Paxville Hwy to a report of a gunshot victim. Upon arriving
deputies observed a black male victim with an apparent gunshot wound
laying on the upper landing of the second-floor stairwell who was
determined to be deceased by the Clarendon County Coroner’s Office.
Deputies detained a black female subject, Carrie Anastasia Woodberry,
27 years of age from Sumter, SC. upon arrival on the scene. Woodberry
was in possession of a handgun. The male victim was identified as
Abram Bernardo Walker Jr., 28 years of age, also from Sumter, SC. This
appears to be a domestic violence related incident between Woodberry
and Walker. Woodberry is currently in the Clarendon County Detention
Center awaiting charges. This is an ongoing case, anyone with any
