Break-in at Brown Road home; $1,275 worth of tools stolen

About $1,275 worth of handheld power tools were reportedly stolen during the break-in of a 5-by-8-foot utility trailer parked at a home in the 1700 block of Brown Road in Manning between 12 and 8 a.m. Sept. 15. According to a report from the Clarendon County Sheriff's Office, the home's 66-year-old owner came home to find forced entry into the trailer by cutting the lock on the handle. The man said a 10-inch Dewalt saw, a Craftsman drill combo with two interchangeable bits and a charger with a gray case, a portable rechargeable cable, an electric air compressor, a Sabre saw with a gray carrying case, a Jig saw, a  Black and Decker half-inch hammer drill, a flaming square, a 25-foot Stanley tape measurer, a Level 2 toll pouch and a Craftsman Sabre saw were all missing.
