The C.E. Murray War Eagles had to travel to Scott's Branch High School to face the Eagles. The game proved to be an exciting one that saw the War Eagles take a two-point win. When the final buzzer sounded, the score would be C.E. Murray 53 and Scott's Branch 51.
With the loss, the Scott’s Branch varsity boys basketball team fell to 11-6 overall and 3-1 in region play.
Junior guard Tariq Coard led the Eagles with 15 points, and senior center Antavious Stukes added 14. Freshman guard Randy Gibson had 11 points of his own.
At halftime the Eagles were up 31-25. At the start of the second half you could tell the War Eagles intensity was out the gym. They would outscore SB 28-20 in the second half to secure the victory.
C.E. Murray’s Petrie Izzard scored a game-high 16 points.
Teammate Henry Evans added 10 points and Sonia Edwards also added 11 points.
