4-H Summer Day Camps Announcement

Posted

Clarendon County 4-H will be hosting two summer day camps this year. Both will be held at the Clemson University Cooperative Extension Service office at 21 West Rigby Street in Manning. These camps will run from 9:00 am until 1:00 pm each day.

Your local 4-H agent and vetted volunteers will be working with your kids each day to expand their knowledge and introduce them to exciting activities.

The STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) Day Camp will be held from June 15 to June 17. This camp will focus on creative engineering, also known as junk drawer engineering or everyday engineering, arts and crafts, math skills, and other technology-focused activities. The camp will be open to youth aged 10 to 15.

The Agriculture and Animals Day Camp will be held from June 22 to June 25. This camp will focus on various aspects of homesteading, livestock, wildlife, and other agricultural topics. This week will combine creativity, budgeting, technology, and science to explore agriculture and animals. Participants will also get a chance to make a few animal friends! The camp will be open to youth aged 8 to 15.

If you would like to learn more about these opportunities, please contact Alyssa Jones at alyssa4@clemson.edu or call 803-220-5836. Our Facebook page, Clarendon 4-H, will also have the Eventbrite links and details for both camps.
