OLANTA - Carlia Rush, 88, widower of Claudette Sampson Rush and husband of Fannie Palmer Rush, died Saturday, Oct. 21, 2017, at his home.
Born July 27, 1929, in Olanta, he was a son of the late Turner Rush and Elvira McMillan Rush.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Oct. 28, 2017, at Oak Grove AME Church, 1708 Burnt Branch Road in Olanta, with the Rev. Shernard R. Barnes, pastor, officiating. The Rev. Mary Rose presided, assisted by the Rev. Wessie G. Brown, Minister Willie Rose and the Rev. Oliver Davis.
Burial followed in the Rush Cemetery on Park Avenue in Olanta.
The family received friends at the home, 2966 American Ave. in Olanta.
Services wee entrusted to Samuels Funeral Home LLC of Manning.
