Yvonne Weeks Porter, 96, widow of Ray Morris Porter, died Sunday, November 14, 2021, at her home.

Born January 15, 1925, in Savannah, GA, she was a daughter of the late Walter L. Weeks, Sr. and the late Frances Powell Weeks. She co-owned and operated Bud Crowe Lodge and Restaurant in Manning along with her husband for 56 years. She was of the Methodist faith. 

She is survived by her daughter, Frankie Lowder (Hal) of Manning; and two special daughters, Darlene Simpkins (Ted) of Pickens and Kathy Bryce of Manning.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her stepfather, Robert H. McCraw; two brothers, Walter L. Weeks, Jr. and Horace N. Weeks; and her stepbrother, Charles McCraw. 

A graveside service was held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, November 18, 2021, at Pine Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery in Turbeville with the Rev. David D. McManus, Jr. officiating. 

Honorary pallbearers were Doug Downing, Ace Casten, Tom Erickson, Ted Simpkins, Mitchell Richburg, Brock Richburg, Wayne Morris, Doug Bowles and Ryan Bowles. 

The family has requested no visitation and no visitors to the house.
