On Thursday, October 22, 2020, The Clarendon County Combined Narcotics Unit, which is comprised of Agents from The Clarendon County Sheriff’s Office and The Manning Police Department, arrested multiple subjects involved in the Distribution of Illegal Narcotics throughout Clarendon County to include the City of Manning and the Towns of Turbeville and Summerton. This investigation spans over a year in length and has resulted in 30 different suspects being identified and charged with a total of 96 drug offenses, to include, the distribution of Crack Cocaine, Methamphetamine, Cocaine, Heroin, Marijuana and other controlled substances throughout Clarendon County.

As local, state, and federal businesses were suspended due to the COVID-19, crimes and drug activity continued.  Our Combined Narcotics Units continued to work to suppress the illegal activity during this time. As a result, the CCCNU executed arrest warrants and was able to fulfill the obligations of arresting those who committed narcotics violations. This Operation and Investigation was a joint operation with the Clarendon County Combined Narcotics Unit, The SC State Law Enforcement Division (SLED), SC Probation Parole and Pardon Services (Sumter and Clarendon Offices), and The U.S. Postal Inspection Service (Charleston Office).
