William Glenn Barrett, Sr., 79, husband of Joann Lee Barrett, died Monday, March 10, 2025, at his home.
Born January 22, 1946, in Manning, he was a son of the late James Danniel Barrett, Sr. and the late Lydia Alberta Stone Barrett. He was a retired truck driver.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years of Alcolu; five children, Lydia Ann Tilton (Timothy), Belinda Faye Frey (Roland), William Glenn Barrett II (Melinda), Lisa Marie Barrett, all of Alcolu, and Jennifer Michelle Barrett (Luis Juarez) of Manning; thirteen grandchildren; five great grandchildren; two brothers, James D. Barrett, Jr. and John E. Barrett, both of Manning; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Bertie Jean Strickland.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, March 13, 2025, at the Manning Cemetery with the Rev. William Jeffers officiating.
The family will receive friends immediately following the graveside service.
