Power outage reported near downtown Manning, John Deere dealership

A power outage affecting areas near The Manning Times office and the John Deere dealership was reported Sunday evening, according to Duke Energy.

As of about 8:30 p.m., approximately 72 customers were without power. Duke Energy’s outage map shows the affected area stretching along U.S. 521, including portions of East Boyce Street and nearby sections of downtown Manning, extending southeast toward the Wilson area.

Duke Energy listed the outage status as “assigned,” meaning crews have been dispatched. The cause was not immediately known.

The outage was first reported at 8:03 p.m. Saturday, and the estimated time of restoration is 12:45 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 15, according to Duke Energy.

Outage information is subject to change and is updated approximately every 10 minutes on Duke Energy’s outage map.
