The Turbeville Town Council held its regular meeting on October 8, 2024, where they approved the second reading of Ordinance 2024-4, finalizing the adoption of the 2024 Town of Turbeville Comprehensive Plan. The updated plan, which replaces the 1995 version, was prepared in collaboration with the Santee Lynches Council of Governments and involved input from the community through a public survey.
The council voted unanimously in favor of the ordinance, marking the culmination of a process that began with the Planning Commission’s review and recommendation in August. The comprehensive plan aims to guide the town’s growth and development in accordance with the South Carolina Local Government Comprehensive Planning Enabling Act of 1994.
