Three Manning High School students received $2500 Chick-fil-A (CFA)

Leadership Scholarships based on their academic achievements and professional, work-based learning at Chick-fil-A Manning. Students applied for the scholarship and were chosen based on a written recommendation from Mr. Will Lane, CFA-Manning owner and operator, and a written application and essay.

“We have students that work hard at CFA and in the classroom. The students competed with over 15,000 other students to receive the scholarships and we are very proud of them,” stated Will Lane, CFA Manning Owner and Operator.

Any student employed at a CFA location in an undergraduate or graduate program at a 2- or 4-year college or university with a GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale may apply for the scholarships with the recommendation from the operator, manager, or executive general manager about the students’ professional achievement.

“Our students are hard working and diligent about their future. Our guidance departments are doing a great job with presenting scholarship and job opportunities for our students and it is great to see this work flourish in our students,” stated Dr. Shawn Johnson, CCSD Superintendent.
