The Holiday Market expands for the season with new vendors and events

Posted

Lifelong friends and business partners Julie Mccrea and Von Corbett are ringing in the holiday season with an expanded lineup at The Holiday Market. The shop, which began four years ago as a seasonal space for local vendors, has grown into a staple of the community and will offer additional spaces and events throughout November, December, and January.

This year, The Holiday Market is opening a newly acquired section of the building and adding several new vendors, bringing the total to 16. Shoppers can find returning favorites like Cashlyn’s Boutique, Embellish, Curvy Girl & More, Palmetto Bliss, Carolina Flaunt, and Snazzy Hen. New vendors include Giggling Gator, Lorine’s Olive Oil Co., which offers over 30 flavors of olive oil, and SC Wild Flours, a boutique specializing in handmade floral arrangements. Other highlights include Sumter Bee Co., a veteran-owned business that creates honey-based candles and body products, Kristin’s Online Boutique, and Eva Eaddy Art.

“We started The Holiday Market as a one-month venture in December 2019, but it was such a success that we decided to keep it going,” said Mccrea. “Every year we grow a little more, and this year is our biggest yet.”

The Holiday Market is also hosting two themed shopping events in December. On Monday, Dec. 2, ladies are invited to “Margarita Monday” from 5-8 p.m., where they can enjoy cocktails while filling out holiday wish lists for family and friends. The following evening, Tuesday, Dec. 3, features “Beer and Burgers,” an opportunity for men and their guests to shop and check off those wish lists while enjoying refreshments.

“We’ve been friends since second grade, and working together is just fun,” said Corbett. “It’s exciting to see how far The Holiday Market has come and to share it with the community.”

The Holiday Market is located in downtown Manning and will remain open with its expanded offerings through January. Hours of operation and event details can be found on The Holiday Market’s Facebook page or by visiting the shop.
