Authorities are seeking a suspect for questioning in connection to the death of a Summerton man who was found fatally shot in a ditch early Sunday morning.
Clarendon County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the area of Washington Street and Louis Street at approximately 7:42 a.m. on April 13 after a report of an unresponsive male. Upon arrival, deputies located the victim, later identified as 32-year-old John Edward Rhames III of Summerton, with what appeared to be a gunshot wound to the back of the head.
The case is being investigated as a homicide.
On Thursday, investigators released information identifying Ricardo L. McFadden, also known as “Trick,” of Summerton, as a person they are looking to question in connection to Rhames’ death.
