More than 200 students from across the county participated in this year’s Clarendon Soil and Water Conservation District Poster Contest, showcasing their creativity and environmental awareness through the theme “Home is Where the Habitat Is.”
The annual competition, open to students in grades 1 through 12, encourages youth to explore the importance of habitats and conservation. Local winners now have the opportunity to advance to the state level through the National Association of Conservation Districts (NACD), with the potential to compete nationally.
“We’re thrilled with the level of participation this year and the talent our local students displayed,” organizers said in a statement. “Congratulations to all of our winners!”
