The Swampcats came out firing Tuesday night, scoring four goals in the first quarter and taking a commanding 9-1 lead into halftime. Jordan Ives led the offensive attack with three goals, while Logan Starnes added two. Gavin Neill and Cole Lambert each chipped in a goal. The defense smothered Blythewood, with standout performances from Cameron Johnson, Brady Irick, and Mitchell Henderson. Laurence Manning clawed back from an early deficit to edge out Beaufort in a hard-fought 13-12 victory on Saturday. The Swampcats trailed 4-2 after the first quarter and 6-5 at halftime but dominated the third quarter with five goals, displaying sharp offensive execution. Beaufort mounted a late rally, but LMA held on for the win.

Jordan Ives led the Swampcats with four goals and an assist, while Aaron Nivens contributed three goals and two assists. Camdyn Strickler also netted three goals, and Hunter Stanfield added two. Brock Tamburello controlled the faceoff circle, winning 20 of 24 attempts. The West Florence (Florence, SC) varsity baseball team won Tuesday’s home tournament game against East Clarendon (Turbeville, SC) by a score of 11-1.

East Clarendon 1, Blythwood 5

The East Clarendon Varsity Girls Softball team lost their game against Blythewood High School by a score of 1-5.

East Clarendon got themselves on the board against South Florence on Saturday, but South Florence never followed suit. They came out on top against the South Florence Bruins by a score of 4-0. This was payback for the Wolverines, who suffered a 12-1 loss the last time these two teams met.

The win got East Clarendon back to even at 1-1. As for South Florence, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-2.

Coming up, East Clarendon will square off against Hannah-Pamplico at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for South Florence, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 5-1 victory against Atlantic Collegiate Academy on the 8th.
