The Manning Times announced the winners of its annual Turkey Giveaway during a live drawing on Facebook on Nov. 22. Six lucky winners were selected from entries submitted at local businesses throughout November.
The winners are Sir Hilton, Wanda Torrence, Lilly Thompson, Willie Keels, Phylicia Ragin, and Jamie Spell. Each received a turkey to enjoy for their Thanksgiving meal.
The giveaway, supported by Piggly Wiggly, Manning Feed Mill & Supply, Santee Automotive, Santee Hardware, Armando’s, and Hines Furniture & Bedding, brought plenty of excitement and gratitude to the community. Calling the winners and seeing their joy when they picked up their turkeys highlighted the spirit of the season and the importance of giving back.
“What a blessing! Just in time,” said Willie Keels, one of the winners.
