Remains were located in a ditch off of US 301, south of Brewington Road. The deceased is female. It appears that she was struck by a vehicle while walking along US 301. The victim has been identified and her name will be released tomorrow after next of kin have been notified. The Clarendon County Sheriff's Office has turned all evidence collected from the scene over to the SC Highway Patrol, who is now working this investigation.
