Quinton Mills, a Native American Indian and member of the Haliwa-Saponi tribe that is located in Hollister, NC, is coming to Clarendon. Mills will be performing live on Sept. 23, beginning at 6 p.m. at the Lake Marion Baptist Church located in Summerton.

Mills has been a part of the Christian music community for over thirty years. He accepted Jesus Christ into his life in 1972 after many years of drug and alcohol addiction. Mills established Quinton Mills Ministry, and since 2013, he has worked with Total Christian Television. Mills has been preaching since 1982 and is a graduate of the North Carline College of Theology with a Doctorate of Theology. He and his wife Pam have one son named Gabriel. Gabriel has traveled nationally alongside his father ministering, singing and sharing his personal testimony.

The Lake Marion Baptist Church started in 1967 by The Summerton Baptist Church. The current pastor, Larry Kennedy, has been at the church for the last twenty years. The mission statement of the church is ‘We believe that our sole purpose is to bring God. To this end, we engage ourselves and other believers to love the Lord our God with all our heart, soul, and might by growing in maturity and unity so that the world may believe God sent His Son, Jesus Christ to save sinners. We evangelize our community and the world at large: equip the believers; and utilize  our spiritual gifts, talents, time and financial resources for this purpose.’

The event is open to the public. For ticket information, call 803-478-2576.
