Town of Summerton
A Special election for the Town of Summerton will be held on Tuesday, January 7, 2025. Any person wishing to register to vote in this election must do so no later than Saturday, (December 7, 2025). Voter registration by mail applications will be accepted if postmarked by Monday, (December 6, 2025) Early voting starts Monday, December 23, 2024 to Friday January 3, 2025. The following office shall be included in this election:

Filing Opens: 12:00 p.m. Noon on Friday, October 25, 2024
Filing Closes: 12:00 p.m. Noon on Monday, November 4, 2024.
Filing Hours:
Weekdays: 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Filing Fee: The filing fee for Mayor is $50.00.
Filing fee checks should be made payable to Clarendon County.
State Ethics Filings: Candidates are required to file a Statement of Economic Interests and a Campaign Disclosure online with the State Ethics Commission at http://ethics.sc.gov. Failure to file these documents may result in a candidate fine but will not disqualify a candidate from the election. Contact the State Ethics Commission for more information.
At 5:00 pm on Tuesday, January 7, 2025 the Clarendon County Board of Voter Registration and Elections will begin its examination of the absentee ballot return envelopes at 3 South Church Street Manning, SC 29102
On Thursday, January 9, 2025 at 10:00 am, the County Board of Voter Registration and Elections will hold a hearing to determine the validity of all provisional ballots cast in the special election. These hearings will be held at Clarendon County Voter Registration & Elections Office, 3 South Church Street, Manning, SC 29102.
The following precincts and polling places will be open during this election from 7:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m.
