Pilot Club begins outreach as pandemic settles down

Posted

The Clarendon County Pilot club may have seemed to have gone dormant during the worldwide COVID-19 pandemic, but nothing could be farther from the truth.

Operating behind the scenes through zoom calls and email chains, the Pilot Club has been nothing shy of completely active. Recently, three of their members attended a leadership conference in Columbia. Those members are Pat DuBose, Kathy Geddings, and Donna Thames. Also attending via zoom were Camille Daniel, Margaret Robertson, and Sandra Brewer.

The Pilot Club hasn’t stopped at attending conferences, however.

The Club took 150 “pick-me-ups” to Lake Marion Nursing Home and Windsor Manor. These small bags were filled with boxes of candy from Smith’s Candy Shop in San- tee. They also contained lit- tle messages of appreciation for the front line workers at our local nursing homes.

The Clarendon Pilot Club is host to many fundraisers and events throughout the year, and they are currently looking for more young women to join their ranks.
