The Manning Police Department is requesting assistance from the public in identifying a person of interest connected to a break-in at Anderson Pharmacy on December 18.
According to police, officers responded to an alarm at the pharmacy, located at 400 block of S. Mill Street, shortly after midnight. Upon arrival, officers found the building’s exterior appeared secure. The store owner, who met officers at the scene, discovered that the power had been cut and multiple medications were missing from cabinets near the register.
Authorities believe the suspect entered the pharmacy by disabling the electrical meter and siren horn before forcing open the rear door using a blunt object. The suspect is believed to have taken bottles of Oxycodone and Hydrocodone, along with a trashcan. No cash was reported missing from the store.
The suspect's vehicle is described as a four-door black or dark green sedan. Investigators processed the scene and continue to follow leads.
The Manning Police Department urges anyone with information about the person of interest or the break-in to contact the department at (803) 435-8859 or Clarendon County Dispatch at 911. Callers may remain anonymous.
This investigation is ongoing, and updates will be provided as more details become available.
