MHS AFJROTC receives top marks during inspection

The Manning High School Air Force JROTC Unit SC-931 received an Exceeds Standards on its unit inspection held April 15. Cadets spent countless hours during school, after school and even on weekends to prepare for the inspection. Cadets had to perform an open ranks inspection and a 30-command drill routine, while group staff conducted a unit briefing and inspected the unit's logistics program. All inspected areas received an Exceeds Standard rating.

Inspector Lt. Col. Warner White came from Air Force JROTC Headquarters, which are based at Maxwell Air Force Base in Alabama. White said he was "very impressed with the Manning High School unit and wished all of the cadets the best in their future endeavors after high school. Lt Col. Antonio Pearson and Cadet Master Sgt. Tylan Bradshaw received awards for Top Performer for the 2018-19 school year. White presented the awards to the students.
