McLeod Health is pleased to announce that Scott Adams, MBA, BSN, RN, has been named Chief Executive Officer of McLeod Health Clarendon.

Adams brings more than 25 years of healthcare leadership experience with McLeod Health, advancing from bedside nurse to executive leadership. He most recently served as Interim Chief Executive Officer and Interim Chief Nursing Officer at McLeod Health Clarendon, where he successfully led operations, strengthened workforce engagement, and enhanced patient experience and clinical performance.

In his new role, Adams will provide executive leadership and oversight for the Clarendon campus, ensuring high-quality patient care, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence. He will guide strategic planning, financial performance, and daily operations while continuing to strengthen community partnerships and expand access to care across the region.

Throughout his career, Adams has demonstrated a strong commitment to data-driven decision-making, quality improvement, and workforce optimization. His leadership has resulted in measurable improvements in patient satisfaction, clinical outcomes, and operational efficiency, including multimillion-dollar cost savings through innovative staffing strategies and performance improvement initiatives.

“Scott is a proven leader who understands both the clinical and operational sides of healthcare,” said Donna Isgett, President and CEO of McLeod Health. “His deep knowledge of McLeod Health, combined with his passion for serving rural communities, makes him exceptionally well-suited to lead McLeod Health Clarendon into the future.”

Adams earned his Master of Business Administration from Western Governors University, his Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Francis Marion University, and his Associate of Science in Nursing from Trident Technical College.

“I am honored to serve as Chief Executive Officer of McLeod Health Clarendon,” Adams said. “It is a privilege to work alongside such a dedicated team. I look forward to building on our strong foundation as we continue to provide high-quality, compassionate care to the patients and families in Clarendon, Sumter and surrounding counties who entrust us with their care.”

Adams and his wife, Emily, along with their two daughters, Cameron and Kendall, look forward to becoming part of the Clarendon community.
