Manning Police Department investigating July 24 murder

The Manning Police Department is currently investigating a shooting that occurred on July 24, 2024 in the Bellwood Section of Manning.

Upon arrival, officers found the 20-year-old male victim suffering from a gunshot wound. Emergency medical personnel were immediately called to the scene and the victim was pronounced dead at the scene by the Clarendon County Coroner.  

The victim was identified as Christopher Forehand of Manning.  Investigators are actively working to gather information and evidence to determine the circumstances surrounding this tragic incident. An autopsy is scheduled for later this week.

Our Officers are following up on all leads and we are asking for the public’s assistance in providing any information that may help solve this case. Clarendon County Sheriff’s Office and SLED (State Law Enforcement Division) are assisting with this investigation.
