LMA's sporting clays team wins third straight Intermediate Division Title

The Laurence Manning Academy sporting clays team won its third straight Intermediate First Year Division title in a row for the S.C. Youth Shooting Foundation Sporting Clays Tournament Series. Reid Norris and J.D. Burroughs both shot 84 out of 100 targets, while Trevor Turcotte shot 82 out of 100, bringing the team total to 250. The three young shooters are coached by Richard Harker. Team Coach Billy Downer said the men are "something special." "They have a bright future ahead of them," he said. The Swampcats are now looking forward to the state event May 10 at Rocky Creek Sporting Clays, sponsored by the state Department of Natural Resources.
