The community is invited to come together for an evening of remembrance, celebration and giving during the Live Like Jessie Adult Prom & Benefit, set for Dec. 27 at The Grill in downtown Manning.
The event will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. at The Grill, located at 201 S. Mill St., with proceeds benefiting the children of Jessie Way and supporting their future educational needs.
Organizers describe the evening as a joyful tribute designed to honor Way’s life and legacy while bringing friends, family and neighbors together for a meaningful cause. There is no entrance fee, and all are welcome to attend.
The night will feature classic prom-style photos provided by Carolina Bless Photography, a prime rib dinner, a signature drink created in Jessie’s honor, dancing with music by DJ Alex Dupree, and a silent auction. Custom wine glasses reading “Forever 31” will also be available in tribute to Way.
All proceeds from the photo booth and silent auction will go directly to Jessie Way’s children and their education tuition. While dinner and drink purchases are optional, a portion of those proceeds will also benefit the family.
Silent auction and benefit sponsors include The Grill, Calla Lily, Lucy’s Traditional Southern Bakehouse, The Holiday Market, Cut N Up, Jack in the Box Children’s Boutique, Carolina Bless Photography, Rivertown Credit, Made by Miranda, Palmetto South Designs, Garden House Floral Studio and Soothing Phalanges.
Organizers encourage the community to mark their calendars and attend in support of Way’s children while honoring the memory of what they describe as a “truly beautiful woman.”
The event embraces the spirit behind its name — to live like Jessie — through generosity, joy and connection, reminding the community that coming together can make a lasting difference.
