A Little River man died this afternoon following a single-vehicle crash on Highway 260, authorities confirmed.
Kevin P. Mann, 67, of Little River, was involved in a wreck that resulted in a vehicle partially submerged in water, according to the Clarendon County Coroner’s Office. Emergency crews responded to the scene, but Mann did not survive.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the crash. An autopsy has been scheduled for next week to determine the exact cause of death.
Officials closed a section of Highway 260 while first responders worked the scene and urged motorists to seek alternate routes. Further details about the crash have not yet been released.
