Senator Kevin Johnson was recognized last week by the South Carolina Sheriffs’ Association for his work as a legislator. The “Legislative Champion Award” is occasionally given out to legislators “In Recognition of [their] Outstanding Leadership and Distinguished Service on Behalf of South Carolina’s Sheriffs.”
“I am proud to say that I have been recognized by many individuals and organizations for my hard work and dedication over the years,” said Johnson. “This latest award was bestowed upon me by the SC Sheriff’s Association.”
Johnson attended the awards banquet, which was held at the Association’s annual summer meeting in Myrtle Beach.
“During their annual conference they presented me with their Legislative Champion Award,” said Johnson. “They made sure that I knew that this particular award is not given out very year. It’s always an honor when others recognize the work that you do.”
