HopeHealth, in collaboration with Williamsburg Pharmacy and INNERSOLE, hosted the “Best Foot Forward” event on July 25 at the Kingstree Recreation Center. The back-to-school initiative provided over 100 pre-selected students in Williamsburg County with new sneakers.
INNERSOLE, co-founded by South Carolina Gamecocks women’s head basketball coach Dawn Staley, focuses on giving back to the community through the distribution of new sneakers and promoting healthy lifestyles among children. The event marked the beginning of a new partnership between HopeHealth and Williamsburg Pharmacy, aimed at enhancing community outreach and support.
“Through this partnership, we were not only able to provide new shoes, but also smiles, and healthy lifestyle tips for the students as they prepared for the year ahead,” said Charlee Rhodes, development and events coordinator at HopeHealth. “We are grateful for the generosity of Coach Staley and INNERSOLE.”
This event is the first in a series of collaborations between the organizations. Chief Pharmacy Officer Christi Epps emphasized the significance of the new alliance, stating, “HopeHealth has added Williamsburg Pharmacy in Kingstree, a prominent local pharmacy, to its list of pharmacies. We have partnered together to better serve the community, and the INNERSOLE event is a prime example of how our combined resources, expertise, and strengths can help make a difference.”
HopeHealth serves as a nonprofit leader in providing affordable, expert primary and specialty health care services across several South Carolina counties, including Williamsburg, Florence, and Clarendon. The organization operates federally qualified health centers that cater to nearly 60,000 patients annually.
