Homeschool Connections visits First Palmetto Bank for Financial Literacy Month

Posted

In celebration of Financial Literacy Month, members of the Harvin Clarendon Library’s Homeschool Connections group visited First Palmetto Bank in Manning on April 7 for an interactive financial education experience.

The visit was led by Beth Peake, Vice President and Regional Operations Officer, and Marji Woodard Robinson, who welcomed the students with a tour of the bank’s facility on North Brooks Street. Students learned about money management, budgeting, saving, and banking services through a hands-on activity that introduced real-world financial scenarios.

“April is the perfect time to host young learners and help them build a strong financial foundation,” said Peake. “We were excited to be part of their learning journey.”

The event was part of the Harvin Clarendon Library’s ongoing Homeschool Connections program, which provides monthly enrichment opportunities for homeschool families in Clarendon County. Through community partnerships and educational field trips, the library aims to support students’ academic growth with engaging, real-world experiences.

First Palmetto Bank, a full-service community bank, offers a range of services including drive-thru banking, a drive-up ATM, notary public services, safe deposit boxes, personal and small business banking solutions, and mortgage lending from local experts.
