Farm Bureau Insurance® and Clarendon County Farm Bureau spread holiday cheer

Posted

Manning, S.C. – Clarendon County Farm Bureau and local Farm Bureau Insurance agents are bringing a little more joy to this holiday season by helping those in the community facing financial or medical hardships.

The local office presented a $750 check to Turbeville Children’s Home and a $750 check to United Ministries of Clarendon County. The Turbeville Children’s Home donation will help provide gifts, clothing and other necessities to the home’s residents. The United Ministries of Clarendon County donation will help pay for meals for those less fortunate in the community this holiday season.

“I am so proud to be a part of a company and organization that believes in helping others and giving back to our community.” Wayne McKenzie, Farm Bureau Insurance agency manager, said.

The donation is part of a company-sponsored holiday community outreach program called Farm Bureau Cares. Through Farm Bureau Cares, county Farm Bureau offices across South Carolina provide a monetary donation during December to help a family or charity of their choice. Farm Bureau Insurance matches each donation made by the local County Farm Bureau and agents.

Farm Bureau Cares donated more than $49,000 statewide to assist charities and countless individuals this holiday season.
