The Clarendon Pilot Club’s recent Bingo and Silent Auction fundraiser proved to be a tremendous success, raising more than $5,000 to support the club’s many community programs and scholarships.
Held September 30 at Manning United Methodist Church, the event drew a packed crowd for an afternoon of games, prizes, and friendly competition. Guests enjoyed lunch, refreshments, and the chance to bid on an array of donated items—from spa baskets and local gift certificates to a Wyboo Golf Club package and handmade goods from area vendors.
All proceeds will benefit the Pilot Club’s ongoing service initiatives, including the Dotty McFaddin Memorial Scholarship, which awards annual scholarships to Clarendon County high school seniors pursuing medical careers. The fundraiser also helps fund projects such as teaching brain safety and health to youth, supporting caregivers, assisting nursing facility residents, and adopting local families at Christmas.
The Clarendon Pilot Club meets the first Thursday of each month at Manning United Methodist Church. Their next major community event will be the club’s annual bazaar and bake sale—famous for its homemade biscuits and local charm.
Part of the global organization Pilot International, the Clarendon Pilot Club continues its century-long mission to “Do More. Care More. Be More.” by inspiring positive change and supporting those who care for others.
