On September 9, 2024, Clarendon County Deputies responded to a shooting incident at 2985 Highway 260 in the Manning area of Clarendon County, SC. Upon arrival, deputies located a male subject just inside the residence with a gunshot wound to the upper torso. Deputies along with Clarendon County EMS provided life-saving measures to the victim but were unsuccessful. The victim was identified as Solomon Aranda (71YOA) by the Clarendon County Coroner, Jacqueline Blackwell. This incident occurred during a family altercation between Aranda and Raven Todd (23YOA). During this altercation, Aranda struck Todd in the head with an object resulting in injuries. Aranda continued to assault Todd until Todd fired a handgun to stop the assault. No charges have been filed at this time. This investigation is still ongoing.
