Our district has seen notable improvements in several key areas for grades 3-8. Math scores have risen across multiple schools, reflecting the hard work of our students and the effectiveness of our instructional strategies. Additionally, there is a positive trend in ELA performance, with more students meeting or exceeding standards, demonstrating our commitment to enhancing literacy skills.

Notable Accomplishments:

- The percentage of students in Grades 3-8 who scored Meets/Exceeds in Math increased from 2023 to 2024 on SC READY.

- ELA continues to be an area where there is a positive correlation between the percentage of students scoring

Meets/Exceeds (this percentage continually increases) and the percentage of students scoring Does Not Meet (this

percentage continues to decrease).

- SC Ready Assessments: 6th graders performed exceptionally well in ELA and Math, surpassing other grades across the district.

- WIN Test: 73.3% of students earned a career credential, up from 49.6% in 2023.

Plan to Address Challenges:

- High-Quality Tier I Instruction: Renewed focus across all classrooms.

- Protected Intervention Times: Included in each school’s Master Schedule.

- Dedicated Science Instruction: Establish a block for all 4th-grade students.

- Home School Communication: Maintain continuous engagement with parents.

- Varsity Tutors: Available for students enrolled in EOC classes and those struggling with EOC subjects.

- Read and Math 180: Implemented for Tier 2 and 3 students to support reading and mathematics.
