Change for Clarendon School District One will be holding a press conference to address the name change of St. Paul Elementary School to Dr. Rose H. Wilder Elementary School. On July 6, 2020, a petition with more than 1200 signatures was presented to the Clarendon School District One Board by Ms. Tiffany Monroe. Change for Clarendon School District One will update the community on the status of the petition and other developments.
The Summerton, S.C. community where the school is located is the home of ‘Briggs v Elliott; the first case of five; Brown v Board which is landmark case that dismantled ‘Separate, But Equal’.
