Emily Teal Thigpen is a senior at East Clarendon Middle-High School. She will graduate from EC as well as from Central Carolina Technical College with an Associates Degree and 69 college credit hours. She is a member of the Lady Wolverine Varsity Tennis team, FFA, FCA, Beta Club, and Teacher Cadet. Emily will attend Francis Marion University this Fall, where she was awarded Teaching Fellows. Emily has been working for the Wolverine After-School Academy this school year and also spends much time tutoring students from her school. While balancing school and work, Emily has remained on the “A” Honor Roll and at the top of her class. She is a very intelligent, loving, and giving young lady. She will be pursuing a degree in Secondary Mathematics Education. Her parents are Chris and Stacie Thigpen, of Manning.
