The Celebrate Freedom Foundation (CFF) brought its STEM Education Outreach Program to Laurence Manning Academy on Tuesday, Sept. 17th, offering students a unique opportunity to engage with aviation history and the importance of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) education.
The foundation, founded in 1999 by retired military leaders, focuses on honoring aviation pioneers and inspiring future generations of space and aviation professionals. Students at Laurence Manning Academy toured a helicopter brought to campus by CFF, learning about aviation technology and the role STEM plays in various career paths.
As South Carolina continues to grow into a hub for global aerospace and automotive manufacturing, the need for a STEM-literate workforce is critical. CFF’s outreach program aims to inspire K-12 students to pursue careers in these fields, helping to equip the next generation for success in an increasingly competitive global market.
CFF remains committed to promoting STEM education, playing a key role in workforce development by creating excitement around potential careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
