CCSO makes six arrests in Cook out shooting incident

The Clarendon County Sheriff's Office announces the arrest of several individuals resulting from a follow-up investigation involving the December 3, 2021, shooting incident that occured in the parking lot of the Cook Out located on Hwy. 261 in the Manning area of Clarendon County. 

The following individuals were identified and charged as listed:

Damonte Fludd - Unlawful Carry of a Weapon and Assault and Battery 3rd Degree

Garrett Bryant - Unlawful Carry of a Weapon

Khadira English - Assault and Battery 3rd Degree

Xamiquia Jackson - Assault and Battery 3rd Degree

Tyrese Brunson - Assault and Battery High and Aggravated Nature and Possession of a Weapon during a Violent Crime

Terry Wells - Assault and Battery 3rd Degree

If convicted, Assault and Battery 3rd carries a penalty of not more than a $500.00 fine or not more than 30 days in jail or both

Unlawful Carry of a Weapon carries a penalty of not more than a $1,000.00 fine or not more than 1 year in prison or both.

Assault and Battery High and Aggravated carries a penalty of imprisonment of not more than 20 years.

Possession of a Weapon during a Violent Crime carries a penalty of mandatory 5-year imprisonment on top of the principal crime punishment.

There were also 3 Juveniles that were petitioned through the Department of Juvenile Justice for Assault and Battery 3rd Degree. These cases will be handled in Family Court. 

This incident occurred on the night of December 3, 2021, when a Clarendon County Deputy noticed a large crod gathered in the parking lot of the Cook Out Restaurant. When the deputy approached the crowd, he observed several subjects fighting. As he exited his vehicle, a gun shot was heard from within the crowd. As other officers arrived, subjects were detained. It was determined that one female subject had been shot. That subject was transported to the hospital where she received treatment and has since been released. 

Fludd and Bryant were arrested on scene on the night of December 3rd. Both were charged with Unlawful Carry of a Weapon. 

All other subjects were arrested concluding the follow-up investigation. All but the juveniles were booked into the Clarendon County Detention Center.
