CCSO Coronavirus update

Posted

Clarendon County Sheriff’s Office continues to monitor the potential impacts of Coronavirus (COVID-19) and Sheriff Tim Baxley is working to safely continue operations while minimizing the potential spread of the virus.

We are committed to protecting our citizens during this unprecedented time; however, this unpredictable situation has heightened the need for our deputies to be available for emergency response. Our patrol has expanded, and our School Resource Officers are being reassigned to the patrol division and will be patrolling neighborhoods and communities until Clarendon County schools reopen. We urge the public to limit face-to-face interaction with deputies and handle matters via phone call when possible.

Clarendon County Sheriff’s Office continues to operate on a normal schedule. Sheriff Baxley is asking the public to limit visits to the Sheriff’s Office by handling non-emergency matters via phone calls or emails. If you must visit the Sheriff’s Office, upon entering our facility, everyone will be checked for fever with a Non-Contact thermometer.  If your temperature exceeds 98.6, you will not be allowed to enter the Sheriff’s Office beyond our lobby.

“While maintaining our loyalty to protect and serve, we are taking precautionary measures to ensure the health and wellness of our citizens and the Sheriff’s Office personnel.”-Clarendon County Sheriff Tim Baxley.

Please utilize our CCSO website at www.clarendon-sheriff.org, Clarendon County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page, or call the office at 803-435-4414.

Please be assured, while precautionary measures are being taken, WE WILL CONTINUE TO CONDUCT LAW ENFORCEMENT SERVICES to our citizens of Clarendon County.

Please pray, as we all do daily, that this will soon pass.
