Clarendon County, SC — The Clarendon County School District (CCSD) is proud to announce the return of its Summer Feeding Program, an essential initiative designed to ensure that our students and community members stay healthy, nourished, and thriving throughout the summer months.
Starting June 3rd, the Summer Feeding Program will provide free breakfast and lunch for all children age 18 and under at various district locations. This program underscores our commitment to promoting community health, supporting families, and closing nutritional gaps that can occur when school is out of session.
Program Details:
All meals are provided at no cost and are available to all children within the community. To ensure safety and proper social distancing, meals must be consumed on-site.
“We believe that access to nutritious foods is fundamental to the success and well-being of our students and community,” said Superintendent Dr. Shawn Johnson. “The Summer Feeding Program plays a vital role in providing consistent, healthy meals that support cognitive development, physical health, and overall community resilience.”
The Clarendon County School District invites everyone to take advantage of this valuable resource as part of our ongoing commitment to fostering a healthy, thriving community. Together, we can work towards ensuring that no child goes hungry and that every family has access to the nourishment they need to succeed.
