Caroline Rebecca O’Dell Lesley, 97, widow of Wilton “Earl” Lesley, died Wednesday, March 18, 2020, at NHC of Sumter.
Born July 8, 1922, in Easley, she was a daughter of the late Clarence Lafayette O’Dell and the late Corrie Denna Kelly O’Dell. She was a member of the Manning Garden Club, the Manning Bridge Club and Manning United Methodist Church since 1947. She had many talents in addition to being a devoted mother and wife (69 years) and most importantly, was at peace with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
She is survived by three sons, Mike Lesley (Carol) of Jasper, Georgia, David Lesley (Terrye) of Lake Providence, Louisiana and Edwin Lesley (Salley) of Chapin; a son-in-law, Bobby Anderson of Sumter; a brother, Clarence Lafayette “Bud” O’Dell (Betty) of Greenville; a sister, June Jones of Easley; seven grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Dale Anderson; and two sisters, Kathryn Freeman and Mary Robbins.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
