Carol Inman Dowell

Carol Inman Dowell, 61, wife of Grover Cleveland “Cleve” Dowell III, died Wednesday, February 5, 2020, at McLeod Health Clarendon.

Born April 28, 1958, in Little Rock, Arkansas, she was a daughter of the late Dr. Fred Clarence Inman, Jr. and the late Sarabelle Atkinson Inman. Carol was a graphic artist, web designer, business owner and attended Manning United Methodist Church.

Carol was raised in Carlisle, Arkansas, married her best friend and traveled extensively enjoying adventure. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, daughter, aunt, cousin and friend. She was educated in the Carlisle school system, Panama Canal College and the University of Alabama-Birmingham. She served on the Clarendon Habitat For Humanity Board of Directors and supported many non-profits and charities.

She is survived by her husband of Manning; two sons, U.S. Air Force SMSgt. Jonathan Spencer Dowell (Orie) of Princeton, New Jersey and Joseph Cleveland Dowell (Jamie) of Manning; a brother, Mark Inman (Patti) of Bentonville, Arkansas; a sister, Sara Margaret “Missy” Hunt of Carlisle, Arkansas; and three grandchildren, Silba Skye Dowell, Annabelle Avery Dowell and Taylor Cleveland Dowell.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, February 8, 2020, at Manning United Methodist Church with the Rev. Kem Thomas officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 1 to 2 p.m. in the fellowship hall of the church.

A memorial service will also be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, February 12, 2020, at the Carlisle United Methodist Church, Carlisle, Ark., with the Rev. Randy Rowland officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 10 to 11 a.m. in the fellowship hall of the church.
