Barbara Anne Dantzler Ardis, 92, widow of Herman Edward Ardis, died Tuesday, December 3, 2019, at St. Francis Hospital in Bartlett, Tennessee.
Born August 10, 1927, in Florence, she was a daughter of the late Harold Leroy Dantzler and the late Gladys Virginia Bobbit Dantzler. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, the Clarendon County Republican Party, and Independent Presbyterian Church in Memphis, Tennessee.
She is survived by a daughter, Virginia A. Bailey of Cordova, Tennessee; a son, Thomas O. Riley of Ridgeville; and a number of grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Jerry T. “Buck” Riley III.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, December 10, 2019, in the chapel of Stephens Funeral Home with the Rev. John Matthews officiating. Burial will follow in the Manning Cemetery.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 10 to 11 a.m. at Stephens Funeral Home.
