Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority , Inc., Phi Omega Omega Chapter recipient of community service award

On March 30th, the 3rd Annual Women's Empowerment Brunch hosted by Straight from the Nail Room owned by Linda Jackson, a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated, Beta Pi Zeta Chapter in our community.  The brunch was held in Sumter, SC on the campus of Morris College. 

During the event, the Paylin Harrison Community Service Award, named after a Clarendon County Girl Scout, who lost her battle with heart disease, was presented to Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated Phi Omega Omega Chapter. The award is presented to honor persons/organizations who are making a significant contributions to their community through their time, actions, talents, and dedication. Phi Omega Omega's president, Jacqueline Sheriod-Scott accepted the award on behalf of the Chapter.
