A winning Palmetto Cash 5 ticket worth $160,000 was sold in Manning for Friday night’s drawing, according to the South Carolina Education Lottery.
The jackpot-winning ticket was purchased at Stop & Go, located at 10 W. Winfield St., where the store quickly celebrated the news on social media. In a Facebook post on March 20, the business announced that “one lucky customer” had won the Palmetto Cash 5 jackpot.
The ticket matched all five numbers drawn, making it South Carolina’s 39th Palmetto Cash 5 jackpot win. The winning numbers were 7, 21, 34, 37 and 42.
The South Carolina Education Lottery said the winner has 180 days from the date of the drawing to claim the prize.
The jackpot for tonight’s Palmetto Cash 5 drawing is $120,000.
The odds of winning the Palmetto Cash 5 jackpot are 1 in 850,668.
According to the South Carolina Education Lottery, net proceeds from every dollar spent on lottery games are returned to the state through funding for education, prizes, retailer commissions and payments to contractors for goods and services.
