The Manning chapter of the Sons of Confederate Veterans will have a Confederate Memorial Service at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Gibbons Family Cemetery near Turbeville.
Dr. Al Truesdale will be the keynote speaker. Service to include period weapons, soldiers in period dress and refreshments.
Directions:
From Manning take U.S. 301 north.
About 4 miles past Sardinia take right on Puddin' Swamp Road.
Go to Old Manning Road and cross intersection.
Cemetery on right just past intersection.
Or
Take I-95 north to Hwy 378 (exit 135) toward Turbeville.
Go about 1 1/2 mile and turn right onto Puddin' Swamp Road.
Follow this road, cross U.S. 301 to the intersection of Old Manning Road.
Cross intersection, cemetery on right just past intersection.
