Dancing With the Stars contestant, Dr. Don Miller

Posted
Dr. Don Miller was born and raised near Akron OH, educated at Western Reserve University in Cleveland and at University of Iowa Medical School. He came to Greenville, SC for residency, opened a solo family practice office, and met his wife, Shirley. He switched to Emergency Medicine in 1993, and after 20 years in Virginia, they moved in 2014 from Radford, VA to Manning SC, where he is currently working at McLeod Health Clarendon Emergency Department. He has been a doctor for 40 years, a drummer for 60 years, and a dancer for…??? The Miller's have five children, eight grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. They love living on Brooks St and watching the parades from their front yard, especially the Striped Bass parade. They believe Manning is indeed unmatched in hospitality. Dr. Miller attends the Presbyterian Church as well as Manning United Methodist Church, where he and Shirley often do special music together. He is a member of Rotary International, and his hobbies are percussion, bicycling, tennis, and woodworking. Don is proud to represent Manning and McLeod Health Clarendon Hospital at this year’s Dancing with the Stars. He says that it is about time to confirm what his wife says about him, that “for a Yankee, he can fake a pretty good Shag.”
