A 46-year-old man charged earlier this month with criminal sexual conduct will be deported after he is turned over to immigration officials at the Clarendon County Detention Center. Isidro Beltran of 1058 Sunshine Acres in Turbeville was charged June 9 with first-degree criminal sexual conduct with a minor where the victim was younger than 11 years of age and third-degree criminal sexual conduct with a minor by the Clarendon County Sheriff's Office. Sheriff Tim Baxley said that the victim alleged that Beltran held her down by her arms and initiated sexual intercourse with her initially in summer 2012, and then, in a separate incident, in May, undressed the girl in an attempt to sexually assault her. Beltran stopped his attempt when the girl's sister came in the room, according to warrants. Beltran was denied bond on his charges, and Baxley said that his case has been turned over to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. "He won't be out of jail and he will be deported," Baxley said.
