The National Weather Service out of Columbia has issued a Special Weather Statement for Clarendon County and surrounding areas through 3 a.m. Thursday. A line of strong thunderstorms will affect the area. At 10:37 p.m., radar indicated strong thunderstorms were located along a line extending from Bishopville west to the Columbia metro area. Movement was southeast at 25 mph. Winds in excess of 40 mph are possible with these storms.
